Gliding Brow Lift

gliding brow lift_edited.jpg

Gliding Brow Lift is a relatively new approach, and is designed to solve drooping eyebrows like the other approaches. One of the advantages of Gliding Brow Lift is the cut will be hidden along the hairline. It is effective to solve forehead wrinkles, and adjust the brow position for individuals whose brows are too high. One potential downside is the surgeon will have to perform a cut that covers a large area of the face, which makes the stitching process challenging. The suture will be removed 4 days after the operation, and the cut will heal within 3-4 weeks.

Recommended for:

  • Individuals whose eyebrows are considerably drooping, making their faces look tired

  • Individuals with alleviated eyebrows

  • Individuals with eyelid ptosis from brow position being too low

  • Individuals with forehead wrinkles and glabella wrinkles

Operation details

After applying anesthesia, the surgeon will inject tumescent fluid into the area to perform the operation. Afterwards, a total of five 1-cm-long cuts will be made along the hairline, in order to insert surgical instruments.

The first step is to remove the forehead skin, and lift the brow to the desired level. The surgeon will then stop the bleeding with an electrocautery, and finally lift the brows and fix them in place (using Endotine Forehead) and close the wounds.

Post-operative care

  1. Clean the area daily, avoid contact with water until suture removal date.

  2. Remove the stitches on Day 7. Patient can wash his/her face and apply makeup afterwards.

  3. The cut on the forehead will gradually fade away in 3-4 weeks.

  4. Avoid sunlight exposure during the first 3 months.

  5. The swelling will be less noticeable after 3-6 months.

Possible side effects
Gliding Brow Lift technique rarely comes with any side-effects. The patient may encounter temporary scalp numbness initially.

How long will the results of the surgery last?

The result will typically last 5-10 years, depending on the individual’s age, skin type, and lifestyle.
